Day-5 Legs and Back with Ab Ripper Bonus

WOW! This work out is intense! This video is a combination of pull ups, chin ups and lounges. My husband uses the pull up bar that hooks on the door frame, but I can't really do pull ups yet. That's okay though I use the bands that hook on the door. I'm going for a more lean look anyway, not bulky. Can't do all of the reps yet but I do as many as I can take a quick breather then jump back in and go as long as I can. Some exercises are really hard and some come really easy. Gunna go eat some yummy Stir Fry!
Day 4- Yoga X

So I'm sending this via my phone before work. This workout so far has been the hardest but also the most fun. It's the longest video but it feels so good. The first 45 minutes are super intense but right when u think u can't do anymore it gets easier. So keep going don't give up!

Day 2-Cardio X & Day 3- Shoulder and Arms

Okay so day 2 was a little harder. A little rushed to get to work so didn't finish the entire workout but still did most of it.

Day 3- Loved this workout! A lot of bicep curls. Do most of these movements at work so not as hard as previous workouts. Love the stretching in this video. it's very relaxing. Felt great after and surprisingly energized. Really motivated to keep going.

More PCOS info

Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome or PCOS is a very common but not widely recognized syndrome. The ovaries have multiple cysts (poly- meaning many). The hormone levels aren't level, the ovaries produce small amounts of androgens but with PCOS more is produced than normal. Insulin is usually elevated and that causes problems with infertility skin, hair and weight. It has been said that 5 to 30 percent of women have signs of PCOS. Most women start to show signs of PCOS around teen years. Signs usually include menstrual cycle abnormality, depression, weight gain and trouble losing weight. Some women have long heavy menstrual cycles and others go long periods of time not having a cycle at all. Most often PCOS is missed by physicians and menstrual abnormalities are solved with oral contraceptives which is what happen in my case. Oral contraceptives mask the signs of PCOS but do not treat the problem. I have been taking a drug called Metformin which lowers insulin levels. The drug has many side effects most of which are not pleasant. If Metformin doesn't work my next option is Clomid which is a fertility drug. Most people think that fertility drugs produce multiple births but not always. Clomid is said to only have 10 percent of women having twins and under 1 percent having more than two babies. At this point I really don't mind as long as I can get pregnant. Exercise and a high protein diet are said to help the ovaries function better so hopefully I can quit being in denial and try to help my body. My purpose for this blog is to encourage anyone out there who might be having the same struggle that I am. Any questions or discussions are welcomed! To all the cysters out there Stay Positive!!

Day 1- Core Synergistics

Day 1 down only 89 to go.Yay!!! So here I sit after a protein shake and a shower feeling great. First workout was a little hard, got out of breath really easy but hopefully it will get better as time goes on. Tony Horton does a good job of mixing up the workouts so that you don't get burnt out on one exercise. He keeps you motivated throughout the workout and seems to say the right thing when you need to hear it. For any information about P90X you can go to http://www.beachbody.com

The workouts are easy to follow and you don't need much equipment just a few weights and a pull up bar.

From here to my 90th day I will post how my workouts are going. As of today my staring weight is 173 lbs.

Stay positive
